War on Terror and Land Mines
- The Twin Towers as well as the Pentagon are hit by a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 Two planes in the WTC and one in the Pentagon
- Planes that had been diverted were able to land in Canada where they were stationed for three days as well as had been provided for by Canada
- Operation Enduring Terrorism was started by the USA to fight against global terrorism
- Operation Apollo led mission that Canada took part in against afghanistan to end the taliabans control as well as a support system for Al-Quada, the terrorist camps
- North Korea, Iran and Iraq are attacked by the USA in 2003 as deemed part of he "Axis of Evil"
Land Mines
- Canada pushing for a global treaty to end the use of land mines due to too many conflicts and irrational consequences
- In one week, at least 500 people are killed
- Through out 64 countries, 110 million land mines are still detonated
- Only $5 to plant one but up to 1 000 to remove
There have been many conspiracies and theories pointed towards the terrorist attacks but there has never really been a final conclusion that everyone would believe. This caused a war on terror. Land mines is another thing that seem so small yet have such a big impact, as well as financial hit to the government taking them out.
