- This group is the eight most economically strong countries that get together once a year to discuss major political, economic and social issues
- The eight countries are Canada, USA, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, and Great Britain (EU observes)
- Canada joins in 1976, one year after the group is formed
- World Bank, debt relief, infectious disease etc.. were formed by the G8
The group of eight is an organization formed in 1975 in aspiration to change the global emissions. It is ran by the eight most influential countries today.
