Summary
Conscription was yet again brought in by Prime Minister Mackenzie King after he had promised not to, and also like ww1 all english speaking canadians were on board, The french however were not. Luckily only a few thousand men were ever conscripted and out of them only 69 died at war. The war ended before any large amounts of men could be conscripted it was partially thanks to the dropping of the atomic bombs.
